Three-year Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management at Hotel Institute Montreux
The combination of academic studies and practical experience allows students to develop their skills in both the theoretical and practical aspects of hospitality management. While the first year is dedicated to Food & Beverage and Rooms Divisions, the 2nd and 3rd year complete the student’s skills set by focusing on Business and Management subjects and offer specializations in Finance, Human Resources, Management for the Senior Living Industry, Franchising or Luxury Brand Management.
The program is offered in partnership with Northwood University (USA).
Program Goal:
Foster the success of aspiring individuals through educational programs that blend renowned Swiss hospitality practices with contemporary American management expertise. These programs are offered within a professional and supportive learning environment.
Program Structure:
The academic year is divided into academic terms. 1 Term = 11 weeks.
• Year 1: 3 terms, followed by a 4-6 month professional internship.
• Year 2: 2 terms, followed by another 4-6 month professional internship.
• Year 3: 2 terms.

Program Content:
Food & Beverage and Rooms Division Management
Develop an understanding of kitchen processes and gain hands-on experience in food & beverage service. Acquire expertise in rooms division, consisting of front office operations and housekeeping.
Management Application and Specialization
Develop hospitality management skills and choose your specialization (Financial Analysis and Wealth Management, Human Capital and Development, Management for the Senior Living Industry, Franchise Business Management or Luxury Brand Management) to gain in-depth knowledge of your sector of interest.
Hospitality Management and International Business
Build on your previous studies and develop a strong understanding of international business in preparation for a career in the international world of hospitality business.
